The Ghost Players

After the movie Field of Dreams, I heard about a bunch of my friends entertaining people at the movie site. Off I went, video taping the mad cap episodes of the Ghost Players interacting with the people visiting the now famous site. I started supplying a PA System at the Field of Dreams for background music and as the crowds grew, I supplied wireless microphones so that the Ghost Players could be heard.

The Ghost Players' notoriety grew, and when the Ghost Players were asked to go on the road, I was invited along. During this time, I accumulated hundreds of hours of video, shot in cinema verity style; I call it fly on the wall shooting, capturing the story without being noticed or intrusive.

Through the years, the Ghost Players became more than ambassadors for the Field of Dreams, they have become ambassadors for Dyersville, NE Iowa, the Midwest, baseball, and the United States. This documentary will show not only the effects on the Ghost Players, but also the effect the Ghost Players have had on others. The underlying story is about second chances in life.
